Hello, my name is Durell “Mistah D-vious” Grant, born in Charleston SC and raised since the age of one in Brooklyn, NY.  I’ve studied dance thru my life experiences from watching videos of Michael Jackson and going to parties watching others dance, to taking classes at Broadway Dance Center to diversify my talent. My inspiration was the late great Michael Jackson, Bobby Brown, Elephant man, Beenie man, and Bruk Up. I remember seeing Moonwalker at like the age of four and wanting to imitate him.

As I got older I got into Bobby Brown, then older into dancehall which lead to learn the dances from Elephant man, Beenie man, and finally by the time I was a teenager learned the “Bruk Up” from watching old videos of Bruk Up himself dance. From all the dance styles I’ve learned I can say that my style of dance is not as distinct as other dancers. I mix dancehall, breaking, and flexing. I combine the tuts, with hats, and add the flavor of dancehall and popping to my movements.

To Dance is Life!!

Thanks for taking the time to see what dance means to me. P.E.A.C.E. (Positive Energy Activates Constant Elevation)
